We recently returned to Chandigarh after almost twenty-four years, and my wife insisted we stay nowhere but Hotel Kwality Residency — the hotel where we always stayed between 2000 and 2003, sometimes two or three times a month.
In those years we grew close to Mr. Lamba, who treated us like family. One morning our car had a flat tyre on the way to Timber Trail. Without hesitation, he handed us the keys to his own car and told us to leave ours behind. When we returned that evening in the rain, he was standing outside personally supervising the repair.
This time, we learned Mr. Lamba had passed away, which saddened us deeply. But meeting his daughter, Ms. Shweta Lamba, we felt the very same warmth — the same values, carried forward. Our stay brought back so many beautiful memories; it genuinely felt like coming home again.
A five-star hotel in every conceivable quality. The rooms are spotlessly clean and without parallel in amenities, from air-conditioning to an electric tea kettle. All things considered, it is an excellent choice — five-star comfort at three-star cost.
Four nights, and everything exceeded expectations. The room was spacious and peaceful, the staff attentive at every hour, and the location central yet quiet. For the price, easily the best option in Chandigarh.

The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, creating a serene atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Our room was a spacious sanctuary with pristine linens and lovely balcony views. It completely exceeded our expectations.
Tastefully decorated rooms with green marble counters that give a classy feel. Ms. Shweta Lamba, the owner, personally interacts with guests and is easily approachable. The adjoining restaurant, Ketliwala, serves excellent cuisine.
The staff was incredibly courteous and always ready to help with a smile. What stood out most was the owner's genuine, welcoming behaviour — it added a real personal touch. Warm, homely, and great value for money.
